The Broncos selected RB Royce Freeman out of Oregon with their first 3rd round pick on Friday night.
After releasing RB C.J. Anderson earlier this year, Freeman will have a chance to compete immediately with Devontae Booker for carries and snaps in the backfield.
Freeman was very productive in college, setting multiple records.
Royce Freeman could be one of the draft's biggest surprises when we see him suit up for the @Broncos . We always talk about finding quality RBs in the 2nd- and 3rd round. Freeman could be the Day 2 RB that we talk about at the end of the season like Hunt/Kamara #NFLDraft— Bucky Brooks (@BuckyBrooks) April 28, 2018
Royce Freeman set an Oregon and Pac-12 record with 60 career rushing TDs. Set school record and second in Pac- 12 history with 5,621 rushing yards (Charles White, 6,245 at USC from 1976-79). His 64 career TD are also a school record.— James Palmer (@JamesPalmerTV) April 28, 2018
