The Dallas Cowboys have pulled a 180 with their plans for QB Tony Romo. Is the change of heart a desperation move?
Rather than releasing him before the start of free agency as was reported Wednesday, the Cowboys now believe they can trade the veteran quarterback.
The Broncos have not been quiet in free agency so far, going after DE Calais Campbell and G Ronald Leary. The team does not seem to be sitting quietly, waiting for a shoe to drop regarding Romo.
Know this. #Broncos aren't waiting around on Romo. They are moving forward with free agent plans. Have multiple needs.— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) March 9, 2017
Whether the trade rumor has any legs remains to be seen, as this may be a panic moment of last-minute posturing from Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.
