Art is for Everyone....Cherry Creek Arts Festival, July 5, 6, 8

There is Art for Everyone at the 2019 Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) on July 5, 6 and 7. Produced by CherryArts, the world-class, award-winning celebration of visual, performing and culinary arts will transform Cherry Creek North into an innovative outdoor art show featuring the work of 265 artists, including both renowned and emerging artists, and offering an interactive, educational art experience for everyone.

“Signature immersive art events, such as the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, create large-scale cultural engagement and provide an audience for delivering CherryArts’ year-round arts education programming,” said Tara Brickell, executive director and CEO of CherryArts. “Onsite, adults and youth are exposed to interactive art experiences, from engaging with, learning from and supporting working artists to creating art throughout the site.”

This year, CCAF will feature large-scale inflatable sculptures from nationally renowned Colorado artist Nicole Banowetz. As part of the CherryArts education initiative, Nicole worked with 10 students during the first-ever Art Camp to help them design, concept and create a sewn inflatable that will be displayed at the Festival.

On Friday, July 5, the Janus Henderson Investors Student Art Buying Program takes place at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The program provides students from 24 Colorado schools the opportunity to purchase artwork to permanently display in their school. Three schools will also have the opportunity to purchase art for the CherryArts Mobile Art Galleries I & II, which are collections of museum-quality art that travel to public schools, libraries and community centers throughout Colorado during the academic year.

The CCAF weekend also includes live music performances at the Janus Henderson Investors Main Stage and Stella Artois Beer Garden, with a ticketed concert for arts education on Saturday, July 6, featuring Grammy award-winning Arrested Development.
