CU Athletic Director Rick George announced on Sunday that Mike MacIntyre has been dismissed as the Buffaloes' head coach. Rick named quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper the Interim Head Coach for Saturday's game at Cal and said a search will begin immediately. Rick said the tipping factor was needing more consistency and success with winning seasons. Rick also said he made the change now to try and light a spark for Saturday's finale with a possible bowl bid on the line.
MacIntyre finished with a 30-43 record at Colorado and was just 14-40 in Pac-12 games.
George and Roper addressed the media on Sunday.
