Buffs Stumble Against Cougars, 73-69

The game was there for the taking. For some reason, the CU Buffs passed.

Washington St. won just its second Pac-12 game of the season, upending the Buffs 73-69 Thursday night in Pullman, Washington.

The Buffs held the lead for most of the second half before the Cougars caught them with just under three minutes left.

MicKinley Wright IV had 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists for CU. Sophomore Dallas Walton scored a career-high 16 points and added six rebounds.

The Cougars are 10-15 overall, 2-11 in conference. The Buffs are 15-11, 7-7.

CU will try to rebound Saturday night against the Washginton Huskies. Coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. MST on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
