DU Lacrosse Advances To Big East Title Game

The #3 Denver Pioneers defeated the Marquette Golden Eagles, 10-7, in the Big East Tournament men's lacrosse semifinals on Thursday in Villanova, Pennsylvania.

The Pioneers closed out the regular season with a 7-4 win over the Golden Eagles on Saturday, April 28 in Denver. Marquette had eliminated DU from the Big East Tournament in each of the last two seasons.

Thursday, Austin French scored five goals for the Pioneers and Trevor Baptiste set the Division I men's lacrosse record for career faceoff wins with 1,118.

The Pioneers move on the the Big East Tournament championship game against #18/17 Georgetown on Saturday at 12 p.m. mountain time.
