D'backs Top Rockies On Opening Day, 8-2

After being staked to a 1-0 on D.J. LeMahieu's solo home run in the top of the first innings, the Rockies gave it back...and more.

Starter Jon Gray gave up three runs in the bottom of the first and the Diamondbacks would go on to bea the Rockies 8-2 on Opening Day at Chase Field in Phoenix.

Gray would last only four innings, giving up the three runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Nolan Arenado also hit a home run for the Rockies. Diamondbacks third baseman Jake Lamb had four RBIs.
