Simply put, it was mira-curl-ous.

For the first time ever, the United States has won a gold medal in curling. The U.S. men's team defeated Sweden 10-7 early Saturday morning (U.S. time) at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The U.S. reeled off five consecutive wins en route to its historic gold. Skip John Shuster borke open the gold medal match with a clutch shot that gave the U.S. five points and a 10-5 lead through eight of ten ends.
