Mikaela Shiffrin will leave the Winter Olympics with two medals. That's quite the accomplishment given all the scheduling issues due to weather.

Shiffrin won the silver medal in the Alpine combined on Wednesday night (U.S. time), finishing just under a second behind gold medalist Michelle Gisin of Switzerland.

American Lindsey Vonn led the event after the downhill portion but hooked a ski in slalom and skied out of the event in what was likely her final Olympic race.

Both Vonn and Shiffrin are expected to skip Saturday's Alpine team event.
