U.S. Elminated After 3-2 Loss To Czech Republic

When they needed the shots to go, Team USA fired blanks. The result was a 3-2 loss to the Czech Republic.

Tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, the U.S. came up empty in the power play, going 0-for-5. 

Petr Koukal scored the only goal for the Czech Republic in the shootout.

The U.S. opened the scoring with a goal by Ryan Donato at 6:20 of the first period. After two consecutive goals by the Czech Republic, Brian Slater tied the game with a shorthanded goal for the U.S. at 10:23 of the second.

The United States is now out of the competition in PyeongChang. The Czech Republic moves into the semifinals.
