The speculation has only begun.
The Broncos need a quarterback. Will they sign a veteran in free agency? Will they go with a young quarterback in the draft, perhaps with the fifth overall pick which they now hold.
The Broncos coaching staff got an up close look at Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma when they worked with him on the North squad at the Senior Bowl at the end of January.
The NFL Scouting Combine is in late February/early March.
Then the pro days come around.
The debate and discussion have already begun and will only intensify in the coming weeks.
What are the chances the Broncos wind up with Mayfield? Robert Klemko of thinks nine other teams would be more likely to land Mayfield than the Broncos.
