Finally, the streak-breaker. And the Denver Broncos broke it in impressive fashion.

The Broncos shut out the New York Jets, 23-0, to snap their eight-game losing streak and pick up their first win since October 1st.

The Denver defense gave up only 100 yards of total offense, forced two turnovers and shut out an opponent for the first time since a 2005 shutout of, you guessed it, the Jets.

Quarterback Trevor Siemian threw for 200 yards and a touchdown to Demaryius Thomas. Andy Janovich had a one-yard touchdown run.

Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas finished with eight catches for 93 yards and the score. He moved into second place in Broncos' history in touchdown catches and receiving yards, passing Shannon Sharpe in both categories. Thomas now has 56 TD catches and 8,475 yards in his career.

The Broncos are now 4-9 and play at the Colts on Thursday night, December 14. Coverage of the game starts at 3 p.m. MST on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
