The Latest On The Las Vegas Shooting

As of 5:30 a.m. MDT on Monday, October 2, more than 50 people are dead and over 200 injured after a gunman opened fire on a crowd attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival next to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.

***As of approximately 7:30 a.m. MDT Monday, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Joe Lombardo updated the number of injured to at least 406.

It is the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

The gunman, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, opened fire on the crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. Paddock shot himself as police entered his room.

Country star Jason Aldean was performing when the shooting began. He was not hurt.
