Former Denver Broncos head coach Red Miller.


Former Denver Broncos head coach Red Miller has died from complications of a stroke. He was 89 years old.

Miller coached the Broncos from 1977-80 and led the Broncos to their first Super Bowl appearance. Denver lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 27-10, in Super Bowl XII on January 15, 1978.

This past spring, Miller was voted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame and was set to be enshrined this fall.

Broncos President and CEO Joe Ellis called Miller to let him know he had made it into the Ring of Fame. Broncos TV captured the moment.
