Rockies Grind Out 6-3 Win Over Mariners

The Colorado Rockies snapped a three-game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Seattle Mariners Thursday at Safeco Field.

Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland gave up two runs in six innnings of work, allowing six hits and two walks while stirking out three batters.

Mark Reynolds hit his fourteenth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the second inning. Nolan Arenado blasted a solo home run in the third inning, his thirteenth homer. Outfielder Gerardo Parra went 4-for-4 win an RBI and a run scored.

On Friday, the Rockies open up a three-game weekend series against the Padres on the road. Coverage begins Friday night at 7:30 MDT on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
