Baseball Is Back: MLB, Players Agree To 60-Game Schedule

Let the baseball season begin.

Tuesday, Major League Baseball and the Major League Players Union worked out the final details on a 60-game season.

Teams will reportedly report to for training by July 1 with most teams getting ready for the season at their home ballparks. Games will begin on July 23 or July 24.

Teams will play division games and also Interleague games against teams in the other league that are in the same geographical division.

The regular season will end by September 27.

MLB chose to set the schedule after negotiations between the two sides repeatedly broke down in the past couple of months. The March 26th agreement between MLB and the Players Union.

The two sides have agreed to health and safety protocols in light of the coronavirus crisis.
