PRESIDENT BIDEN YELLED THE STATE OF THE UNION LAST NIGHT And if you are on the Left watching his "fiery" (that is the approved word for this speech in the media apparently) speech you too this as proof of his youth and virility. But if you're more rational you'll realize that the lip quivering and yelling won't convince most Americans who probably didn't watch the speech. In the nakedly partisan speech he trotted out the old tropes of "it's the GOP's fault at the border" and he publicly threatened the Supreme Court for upholding the Constitution. He spent time on big spending programs that have led to the deficits which are jacking up inflation, and of course we are reminded that Democrats love abortion. THE AMERICAN AID DROP IN GAZA KILLED FIVE GAZANS My nephew sent me a video this morning of the aid drop the US did into Gaza and told me that five Gazans were killed by the falling boxes. I checked it out and found it here but oddly, nowhere in our news media. So weird.
ANOTHER SHOE DROPS IN THE TRANS CARE STORY We've talked endlessly about gender affirming care for children and I've talked about the emotional blackmail used by physicians who believe they are following best practices when it comes to gender confused kids. But who set the "best practices"? So far it's an organization called World Professional Association for Transgender Health or WPATH that has set themselves as the experts and medical professionals who decide to give children permanently altering hormones. A new expose by Michael Shellenberger is blowing that up completely, as he got access to internal documents and meetings that clearly show these people are just making crap up as they go and approving procedures on people with a whole host of OTHER issues related to mental health and development.
