JON CALDARA IS DROPPING POOP ON THE CAPITOL STEPS TODAY I heard the story on Colorado's Morning News today that at 1pm my pal Jon Caldara from the Independence Institute is gonna drop bags of human poop, which I'm guessing he collected from outside II, on the steps of the Capitol in order to protest the fact that nothing is being done to stop people from pooping on his doorstep every day. I'm trying to get him on the phone about it at some point.

DEMOCRATS OFFICIALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH And I wish I were surprised by the results of this poll but I am not at all. The party that used to be absolutely for free speech when it meant not being arrested for coarse language (I'm looking at you, Lenny Bruce) to supporting it's extension to cover pornography is now anti-free speech. Look at some of the results of a new Real Clear Investigations poll on attitudes about free speech:
Republican voters (74%) and independents (61%) believe speech should be legal “under any circumstances, while Democrats are almost evenly divided. A bare majority of Democrats (53%) say speech should be legal under any circumstances, while 47% say it should be legal “only under certain circumstances.”
Nearly one-third of Democratic voters (34%) say Americans have “too much freedom.” This compared to 14.6% of Republicans. Republicans were most likely to say Americans have too little freedom (46%), while only 22% of Democrats feel that way. Independents were in the middle in both categories.
Although majorities of Democrats, Republicans, and independents agree the news media should be able to report stories they believe are in the national interest, this consensus shifts when it comes to social media censorship. A majority of Democrats (52%) approve of the government censoring social media content under the rubric of protecting national security. Among Republicans and independents, this percentage is only one-third.
Poll respondents were read this statement: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Only 31% of Democratic voters “strongly agreed” with that sentiment, compared to 51% of Republicans.
So which is the party of oppression? Of New Speak? Of giving government unlimited power to control our lives?
A NEW POLL SHOWS BEATING BIDEN HANDILY And as I always say the only poll that matters is on election day, but this one is a kind of stunning outlier. Look at page 9 of this pdf to see the line where Trump beats Biden by 10 points. That being said, this poll oversampled Republican leaning voters in my opinion so should be taken with a grain of salt.
DEBUNKING THE SCIENTISTS This is a cool story about three guys who are literally taking down the intelligentsia class one bad study after another. This is important because one political party seems to want to put "experts" in charge of everything and as long as they have the "right" academic credentials behind their names their word is taken as gospel. *Cough*Dr. Fauci*Cough*. This group of three guys is simply taking the work produced by these people and crunching the numbers to find that the researchers who are promoting them are simply lying about what they say.
LOOK GREAT NAKED? THERE'S A DATING SHOW FOR YOU There is a zero percent chance I would ever appear on a dating show but less than a zero percent chance I would agree to do it naked. But others aren't so shy, and now a British dating show in which:
a single “chooser” critiques and eliminates six potential dates standing on a stage by scrutinizing their fully nude bodies, which are gradually revealed one part at a time (faces are revealed last). When only two potential dates remain, the chooser strips out of their own clothes too, giving the remaining two contestants the opportunity to critique them. The final couple then go out on a date, with their clothes on.
