The Tampa Bay Lightning made sure the Stanley Cup Final took another turn.

Ondrej Palat scored with 6:22 left in the third period to give the Lightning a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Avs still lead the series three games to two heading into game six in Tampa on Sunday night.

Game five was never more than a one-goal game. Tampa Bay struck first on Jan Rutta's shot from the right wing that got through Avs goalie Darcy Kuemper at 15:23 of the first period.

The Avs tied it with 14:53 to go in the second period when Valeri Nichushkin knocked in a rebound. The Lightning answered on Nikita Kucherov's 4-on-3 power play goal at 10 of the period.

In the third, the Avs got some good fortune to tie the game. Tampa Bay goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy knocked down Cale Makar's shot but the puck ricocheted off the skate of Tampa Bay's and into the net. It was a 2-2 game 2:31 into the third.

But the Lightning had one final goal and it was Palat who got the puck past Kuemper with 6:22 left for what turned out to be the game-winner.
