WHERE DOES THE VOTE COUNT STAND RIGHT NOW? This is a good overview which includes what's necessary for recount in each state and the deadlines for counting votes in the first place.
SPEAKING OF BIDEN'S COVID PLAN... It looks strikingly like...Trump's plan. The big differences are he would rejoin the World Health Organization, who lied to the entire world and totally took China's word on EVERYTHING covid related, and he would create a Covid-19 Racial and Ethnic Disparities Task Force that would be a part of the CDC forever. That's pretty much it in terms of differences. The rest of it is more PPE, working with governors and mayors on mask mandates and hiring more contact tracers. That's it. That's his grandiose plan to bring things under control. Do you feel safer now?
THE GOVERNOR DECIDES AGAINST ANOTHER LOCKDOWN HE INTIMATED MAY HAPPEN BEFORE THE ELECTION And I can't help be SUPER CYNICAL when I read this story, though I agree with pretty much everything the Governor says in it. Let me just share some of the high points.
Another lockdown — or so-called stay-at-home order — isn’t warranted, Polis said, because of the advances Colorado and the world have made toward understanding and managing coronavirus.
“We’re learning a lot more,” Polis said. “In March and April, we had very little testing. Negligible testing relative to the size of the infection rate. Quite literally, it was impossible to find out who was contagious. It was impossible to screen asymptomatic people out from working in nursing homes and as first responders.”

Treatment protocols for COVID-19 have also dramatically improved, driving down death from where it was in the spring, Polis said.
“The fatality rate for people who were hospitalized was around 20%. One in five who entered the hospital in March and April didn’t make it out,” he said. “Now that’s down to about 5%. Still very deadly, still tragic for many families. But one quarter the fatality rate of the initial wave.”
Finally, Polis said Colorado’s hospital capacity — both in terms of supplies and beds — has been dramatically expanded since the spring. That includes emergency care sites, like the field hospital built at the Colorado Convention Center, and also internal work hospital systems have done to prepare.
I want to make one comment about that "fatality rate" listed above. That is the fatality rate for hospitalized people. Now if we factor in all these positive tests and use THAT to factor that actual fatality rate in all known cases, that is TINY. Perhaps lower than the flu at this point. I need you statistics people to figure this out, please.
BUT HE MAY GET LUCKY BECAUSE PFIZER'S VACCINE SEEMS TO WORK With a 90% effectiveness rate, which is really, really good in the drug world. By comparison, most flu vaccines work between 40-60% of the time. The side effects so far are fever and aches but they are waiting until the third week of November to insure that there are no side effects two months after the second injection. They are already working with the FDA for an Emergency Use Authorization to bring this thing to market asap. Seems like that could be before Christmas. Pfizer says they could have 50 million doses done by the end of the year. The Federal Government has already committed to buying 100 million doses, but I don't see how they don't just buy them all so they can give them out like both candidates have committed to doing.
WHY IS THE STATE WITHHOLDING NON-PERSONAL DATA ON WHEN THE PANDEMIC WILL END? This is question I have asked REPEATEDLY for the last few months. It's a simple question. What has to happen before Governor Polis determines the pandemic is "over" in Colorado? It's not controversial, it's a simple question. A reporter for the Greeley Tribune tried to find out the answer. He's been stonewalled and given heavily redacted documents that give no answers. What gives? Read this editorial for a good overview.

HOW DOES A COMPUTER GLITCH ONLY WORK ONE WAY? I'm not going to pretend to understand computer glitches, but isn't it weird that a computer glitch in Michigan changed 6000 votes for Trump into Biden votes? Shouldn't the "glitch" have worked both ways? Now this throws every county in Michigan into doubt. We have to get to the bottom of every "glitch" and every complaint to make sure we have faith in our elections going forward. Period.
