RTD is rolling out a new light rail line today.
The "N" line will run from Union Station to some northern suburbs, including Commerce City, Northglenn, and Thornton. It's an 18-mile run with six stops along the way, the last of which is in Thornton. It's been a long time coming for this FasTracks project, as work began on it six years ago.
Rides on the "N" line are free into next weekend. From there, tickets are three dollars per trip.
