Friday was a busy day for the Colorado Rockies.

They shuffled their bullpen by releasing veteran right-hander Bryan Shaw and lefty Jake McGee. In addition, general manager Jeff Bridich said INF/OF Chris Owings, OF Matt Kemp and reliever Daniel Bard made the Opening Day roster.

On the field, Pinstripes beat Purple, 3-2 in an intrasquad game. After playing six innings, each side worked on the extra-inning situation of starting an inning with a runner at second base.

Both starting pitchers threw the ball pretty well.

Antonio Senzatela went 3-and-a-third innings and gave up two runs on seven hits with no walks and one strikeout.

Austin Goudeau, also a right-hander, lasted three inning and surrendered one run on four hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out two.

Charlie Blackmon homered in his first intrasquad action of the summer. Owings had two doubles and also walked and scored a pair of runs.

The Rockies will play intrasquad games on Saturday and Sunday.

Manager Bud Black spoke with reporters and talked about releasing Shaw and McGee...Bard talked about his long journey back to the Big Leagues...and more.

Those comments, along with remarks from Bridich, follow highlights of the intrasquad game.
