TO KILL CANCEL CULTURE, WE MUST ADOPT IT That is the latest in this excellent column by Christian Toto. He correctly surmises that the only way to end this scourge is to make sure it affects as many high level lefties as we can so THEY decide the monster they created must die. I'm all in! Christian joins me at 1 to talk about it.

MIKE AND MANDY AND DAVE AT THE MOVIES Although I sat out this week's Spike Lee film Da Five Bloods because this has been a rough week and I just wasn't in the mood for a racially charged war drama. Mike joins us at 2 for an hour of fun and Deep Thoughts.

DOUGCO HAS OPTED OUT OF THE TRI COUNTY HEALTH MASK ORDER And though I like the INTENT behind this as Douglas County has not seen the same kind of uptick that Adams and Arapahoe have and probably shouldn't have to deal with the same restrictions, I sure hope that Dougco residents will CONTINUE wearing masks when they go out. I live in Dougco and I'd say the mask wearers to mask non-wearer ratio is about 90% to 10% now. We all know I hate masks but if they can let us get back to our lives somehow I'm begging you to hate it and wear one anyway too. And lest you think that the DougCo Commissioners are anti-science, it's quite the opposite. The doctor making the recommendations about mask usage to the Tri County Health Department did NOT recommend masks for DougCo but the board passed them anyway. My friend Ross Kaminsky did a great interview with Commissioner Lora Thomas about it you should listen to for more. Click here for that.

COLORADO IS SIXTH IN THE NATION WHEN IT COMES TO ECONOMIC EQUALITY And that is pretty damn good so I wanted you to see it. The methodology includes things like household wealth, income and labor force participation. Look at the whole thing here.

SHATNER NAILS IT WHEN IT TALKS ABOUT THE CANCEL CULTURE LETTER That I had earlier this week on the blog. It's going to be published in Harper's Bazaar but when it was released and some of the signatories found out WHO ELSE signed it, they demanded that their names be removed. This is what William Shatner tweeted about that.

You are correct, Captain.

LIFE'S BETTER WHEN YOU'RE FAT Josh Sneed is hilarious and I needed this today!

THIS MAN MAKES CUCUMBERS COOLER THAN THEY ACTUALLY ARE

DOGGO LOVES PANCAKES But don't we all.

MAYOR BILL DEBLASIO IS JUST AN IDIOT Because he has decided to allow Black Lives Matters protests to continue even as ALL OTHER LARGE GROUP GATHERINGS ARE BANNED. He has decided to unilaterally decide that the Right to Assemble Peaceably only applies to Black people. This is absolutely insane and just plain wrong. He thinks the cause is TOO IMPORTANT to stop the protests. Thank goodness Covid 19 is able to discriminate between large groups of protesters and other large groups. PHEW.

AND THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON'T TRUST SCIENCE Holy COW this article is FIRE. Joy Pullman from The Federalist pulls no punches in explaining why people are increasingly skeptical of "science". Because science has been politicized now, just as Dwight D. Eisenhower warned in his famous Military Industrial Complex speech. Here's the important part of that speech:

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.
In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.
Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.
The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present
and is gravely to be regarded. Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite.
It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system -- ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.

NO, THERE ARE NO CONSERVATIVES FOR THE NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE And the organization running ads in the state have declined to name ANY Republicans who are supporting this coastal state power grab. The Colorado Sun also uncovered who is funding this alleged conservative group and shocker...they are Democrats. Don't fall for this garbage, stop the NPV from taking effect in November.

FRANK AND BOBBY HAVE SOME COMPETITION And several people mentioned these two performances specifically and they are really, really good. If you have no idea why I'm posting this, you need to listen to the show yesterday.

BIDEN GOES AFTER NUNS And I'm not even kidding. From his basement, Biden has declared that he will tell the Supreme Court to go pound sand and force The Little Sisters of the Poor to provide birth control. He's going to be awesome when he figures out where he is.

HERSHEY'S HAS SOME SPOOKY CANDY CHOICES FOR HALLOWEEN And though the #1 costume this year with be surgeon (so you can wear a mask and have it make sense) there is going to be some fun candy choices for the kids this year. Check them here.

THIS. THIS IS WHAT I'M WAITING FOR RIGHT NOW. This catch happened in an intrasquad game. I'm ready for baseball.
