DougCo Commissioners Vote In Favor Of School Safety Funding

The Board of Douglas County Commissioners is putting ten-million-dollars toward school safety and mental health services. The move was made yesterday with a unanimous vote. It also comes after the recent deadly school shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch. The money will be redirected from the county's general fund. Commissioners will meet in the coming days to decide how the funds will be spent.
