With the #20 overall pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday the Broncos selected Noah Fant, a tight end out of Iowa.
At 6'4" and 249 lbs., Fant brings a big-play receiving threat to the tight end position for the Broncos and fills a position of immediate need.
For the first time ever, two tight ends from the same team were taken in the first round of the draft, as Fant's teammate, TJ Hockenson went earlier in the evening.
Earlier in the evening, the Broncos traded the tenth overall pick to the Steelers and acquired the #20 and #52 overall picks in 2019, along with a third round pick next year. The Broncos now have two selections this year in the second round of the draft.
Fant spoke with KOA NewsRadio Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan.
