Boulder police release composite sketch of man who allegedly attempted to lure a child to his vehicle

Boulder police are releasing a composite sketch of a man who allegedly attempted to lure a 10-year-old boy into his vehicle. At approximately 3 p.m., on March 6, the child was walking home from school when he was contacted by a man near the intersection of 15th Street and Orchard Avenue. The man asked the child if he needed a ride and then asked the child to get into his vehicle. The child ran home and immediately told a parent who contacted police.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged white male with scruffy facial hair. At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a green hat. The vehicle is described as an older model red van that was dirty and in poor condition.

Boulder Police have increased patrols in the area. Anyone who may have additional information on this case should call Detective Jeremy Frenzen at 303-441-1890.
