RTD's A-Line Train Horns to Go Silent

RTD says the A-Line that runs between Union Station and D-I-A will soon be quieter. The federal government has signed off on quiet zones for the A-Line. Residents and businesses have complained about the blaring horns of the train that hear all day and night. The quiet zones will take effect on March 1st.

Trains will no longer be required to sound horns when they approach a crossing. Train operators will have the option to sound the horn if they detect a safety reason to do so.
