Driver Arrested after Threatening State Trooper

A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted first degree assault on a police officer and reckless driving.  Police say Jeffrey Huntley confronted a state patrol trooper Friday afternoon near Sixth and Simms in Lakewood, apparently intentionally ramming the trooper's cruiser with his pick-up truck. Police say Huntley threatened the officer, who then tased Huntley. Both were taken to the hospital. The trooper has been released. It's unclear what Huntley's injuries are.
