She Took Her Brother's Dare & Things Were Never The Same

This young Steamboat Springs resident is one of the few females ever to conquer the "Seven Summits," scaling the highest peaks in all seven continents. The whole adventure started with her brother in 2008, over beers. It was partly serious, partly a dare, but it turned into brother and sister doing amazing things. While descending Denali, North America's highest point, she fell, got her arm caught in a guide rope and broke it in four places. It took two years and four surgeries but Kim recovered from the accident, an ordeal that only made her more determined. She now has her sites set on "The Explorers Grand Slam," the Seven Summits plus treks to the North and South Poles.  Come with us on her amazing journey.
