Same-sex marriage is now legal in Australia.  Parliament made it official Thursday after hours of debate.  The vote came after more than 60% of Australians said they approved of same-sex marriage in a national postal survey.  Couples who want to get married will still have to wait until January because Australia requires couples give a month's notice before getting hitched.

Australia is now the 24th nation to allow same-sex marriage.
