The Democrats are unveiling a property tax bill (at the very end of the session, of course because this problem is BRAND NEW) and it will do ZERO to reduce your current property tax burden. ZERO. You can read the details here, but I'd much prefer you vote for a ballot initiative that would cap property tax increases at 4% per year.

COLORADO DEMS TRY TO ENFORCE NEWSPEAK AT THE CAPITOL By giving Republicans a list of words they can't use when talking about immigration. Including "illegal alien" which has been used historically for over a century to speak of people who came here without going through proper immigration channels. This is after they gaveled out speakers who used the proper names of drag queens while testifying. Imagine if Republicans told Democrats the words they can and can't use, there would be outrage from all corners. I'm trying to get Rose Pugliese on the show to discuss it.
COMMERCIAL PROPERTY OWNERS ARE SUING DENVER AND COLORADO Over the obscenely expensive new mandates on buildings when it comes to green energy. From the Denver Post:
The Colorado Apartment Association, the Apartment Association of Metro Denver, the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association and NAIOP — an association representing commercial real estate developers — said the green-energy rules preempt a federal regulation that governs the quality and performance of new heating and cooling systems and other appliances in large apartment complexes, hotels and commercial office and retail buildings.The groups, in their lawsuit filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Denver, are asking a federal judge to throw out the city and state environmental regulations, which in the coming years will force a transition away from natural gas to improve air quality.
I hope they win. I'm tired of these do-gooder politicians who have never run or operated a successful business making things exponentially more expensive for everyone else.

Why when any boy can decide he's a she can now play against girls he has a clear physical advantage over? OLD PEOPLE SAY OLD AGE BEGINS AT 75 And 75 is the new 65 which I find comforting as I rapidly approach old age myself. A recent study which asked people the question "at what age does old age start" found that the age has been creeping up for years, but seems to have plateaued at 75. From the article:
The study also revealed some interesting demographic differences. Women, on average, considered old age to start two-and-a-half years later than men did. This gender gap has gotten even wider in younger generations. People living in former East Germany, who have a lower life expectancy, tended to peg the beginning of old age earlier than their West German counterparts. Feeling lonely, having more chronic diseases, and worse self-rated health were also linked to considering old age to start sooner.

He is morbidly obese and I want him to live a long and healthy life of making great music. That being said, when I saw that he had been working on getting healthy I was overjoyed!
